This Cookie Policy explains how CashTalks uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. We also use comparable technologies such as session storage, local storage, and pixels. In this Policy, we use “cookies” to mean any of these.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled through our preferences and disabling them in your browser will break parts of the Service.
ct_sid- First-party, HttpOnly, signed session cookie used to keep your conversation with Penny coherent across page loads, to apply rate limits, and to enforce anti-abuse controls. Expires when your session ends; renewed on activity.
- CSRF token
- First-party token used to protect the lead-submission and privacy-request forms from cross-site request forgery.
3.2 Performance and security
We use server-side logging and basic device-signal hashing (e.g. a hashed IP address) for security monitoring, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
We also use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand aggregate site usage so we can improve the Service. GA4 sets first-party cookies — notably _ga and _ga_<measurement-id>, retained for up to two years — and reports anonymous, aggregated metrics such as page views, referral source, and approximate (city-level) location. IP addresses are not stored by GA4. We do not use GA4 data for advertising or for building cross-site user profiles, and GA4 is not loaded on the admin or signed-in operator surfaces of the Service.
To opt out, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, use a browser-level tracker blocker, or send Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals — which we honor as an opt-out where required by law.
3.3 Functional preferences
We do not currently store cross-session preference cookies. If we add light/dark theme or language preferences in the future, those will be stored locally on your device.
3.4 Advertising
We do not currently set third-party advertising cookies. If we partner with an ad network or attribution provider in the future, we will present a consent banner where required and update this Policy. You may always submit a Do Not Sell or Share request, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.
3. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the Service. For more information about cookies and how to manage them, see allaboutcookies.org.
4. Do Not Track
Different browsers use different “Do Not Track” mechanisms and there is no agreed industry standard. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required by law as an opt-out of “sale” or “sharing” under U.S. state privacy laws.
